I'm specialising (at this stage) in childrens portraiture, but have a wedding coming up which will give me a taste to see if it's something I will consider for the future.
Well, I finished my last day at Ringwood SC on Friday. It was funny leaving actually, I felt like I'd resigned from work!
I really enjoyed my time, although there were a few days there where I did wonder if I was doing the right thing!!!
Most of the kids were lovely, they were even nice to me, but there were a few horrors. I can't believe kids can be so revolting, something I don't remember when I was at school.
Thanks to mum, Lyn and Scott for taking care of Wil while I was busy at school! Although he enjoyed having so much time with Wil, Scott has decided that he doesn't want to be a full time stay-at-home dad. I think it was a good eye opener for him, and has shown him that it's not all fun and games and catching up for coffee!
Well, back to uni tomorrow, with 2 assignments due this week... no rest for the wicked!
Well, uni has well and truly started, with lots of assignments on the go and wait for it.....
TEACHING ROUNDS!
It's only the fourth week of the semester, and we're being thrown in the deep end with teaching rounds starting next week.
I've been placed at Ringwood Secondary College, which should be a great experience given that it has a great name and facilities.
I'm madly trying to get some lesson plans done so I can feel a bit more with it, and prepared for the onslaught! As long as they are nice kids.....

After having been a full time stay at home mum since July, I'm back to uni in February! I was accepted into the Graduate Diploma of Education at Monash in Clayton, which is exciting, but scary also as I'm sure it will have its challenging moments. I've had a few people ask me when on earth am I going to finish studying, because I've been doing it forever in their eyes - so this will answer everyone's question.....
This is my FINAL year!
I will be able to teach Art and Media Studies at secondary schools, which will certainly open up many doors for me, and will be a great lifestyle for our family!
Scott is still at Box Hill, and really enjoying himself. He's also been doing a bit of Web Design work for various people, including one name in particular that most of you would have heard of at some stage. I'm sure if you ask him he will tell you, if you are really interested! Apart from working heaps, Scott will also be spending more one on one time with Wil whilst I am at uni. It will be great for him to get to spend more time with Wil, and I'm hoping that he will get to see just how hard it is being at home all the time!
